The Explorer Section
The Explorer Section are for males and females aged 14yrs to 18yrs. Members can move on up from the Scout Section or just simply start off at this stage.
Flixton Explorer meetings are based at the Scout Hut on a Thursday evenings from 7pm to 9pm alongside the Scout section.
Although the Explorers are based at the Scout Hut, they do have meetings and hold activities elsewhere. For further information please leave a message in the Enquiry tab to the left of the screen.

Flixton started in 2002 at the beginning of the national launch of the Explorer Scout Section.
Since the launch, Flixton Explorer Scout unit has gone from strength to strength, gaining more members, experience in activities and taking part in as many competitions as possible.
Assisted by the Explorer Scout leaders, Chris, Andy and Paul, the Explorers decide for themselves on how the Explorer meeting are run, by continuing to plan their own activities, ideas and seeing their plans in action.
From May 2006, Flixton Explorer Scout Unit have offficially been named 'Loki'. It was decided by all concerned with the Explorer unit, to have a name for themselves as part of the groups identity.
After a long process, 'Loki', seemed to fit best.
1st Flixton 'Loki' Explorer Unit currently hold the Greater Manchester West County Camping Competition trophy.
