History of 1st Flixton Continued

In the archives will also be found the original Rowe Flag, donated for Annual Competition in 1912.
The Rowe Flag is still competed for today, but is a later flag.

There has been many H.Q's from a cellar, hen house, ex army hut and a coach house to name a few.

The picture on the left shows 1st Flixton Scouts outside the Coach House, before a camping trip in 1961.

There have been many 'ups and downs' along the way, but 1st Flixton survived everything.

There has been a good few marriages between leaders and helpers, a good number of Kings and Queen Scouts, many representatives at Jamborees and World Events and a membership over the years impossible to count.

The history itself in full detail is too big at this stage to put on this website, but if all goes well, then in 2007, copies will be available at a cost, plus a bit for group funds!!!
They will contain all the details year by year, names, events, anecdotes etc...
